Exceeding expectations since 1996

Our history:

Time has seen us evolve from a company that printed literature into one that plays a much broader role in its clients’ communications. The focus of our attention is now maximising return on investment, primarily through cost effective print options but also by harnessing the power of new media.

We have expanded our skill set to include personalised marketing and the analysis of the data this provides to increase response rates. In-house design, for both print and the web, has enabled clients to benefit from our exceptional creative expertise. A purpose built studio incorporating the latest Mac systems, allows designers and printers to work together closely, leading to a streamlining of practices and a far superior finished product for you.

Redefining service and fostering curiosity

Our approach:

We provide the kind of service we like to receive. The kind that doesn’t compromise. This means going the extra mile - working harder as well as smarter to deliver on promises and offer better value.

To this end we are totally customer driven. Our understanding of your needs enables us to provide print solutions that meet your objectives, your deadline and your budget. Key to this is a strong working relationship. One based on trust and mutual respect. That’s why we maintain a system of working that is simple and open with no hidden extras.

The desire to learn is also central to our business. If there’s a better way of doing something, we’ll find it. We keep track of the latest innovations and market trends and adopt those we feel can benefit our client base. Bringing on board advances in technology or just discovering a way to simplify an internal process can result in significant savings in time or money or both, so it makes sense to stay at the cutting edge of change. In fact, we’re committed to it.

celebrating a ‘can-do’ spirit

our people:

All businesses are built on the ability of their staff. Team Resource is made up of a group of talented individuals whose in-depth knowledge of their subject means every challenge has a solution. Each one of our time-served printers, brilliant designers, dynamic IT experts, astute account managers and capable sales support assistants combines a passion for print with a keen commercial awareness.

They are the lifeblood of our company. And while we know the value of experience, we also have a policy of developing junior staff through skills mentoring, work placements and apprenticeship-style initiatives. The advantages of this are two-fold. It gives hard-working youngsters the opportunity to build a secure future whilst keeping fresh ideas flowing into the company.

Regardless of seniority, all staff are involved in regular internal and external training as part of an on-going personal development programme. This highlights our intention to embrace new thinking and new approaches that supports our aim of continuous improvement.

doing the job right

quality:

Quality is probably the most important aspect of what we do. Each project we handle puts our reputation on the line so we do our utmost to ensure that we can be proud of every item that leaves our premises.

This is achieved by operating a comprehensive, co-ordinated management system. Fully documented, it checks key stages in the production process allowing us to accurately assess whether we are meeting regulatory demands and complying with recognised requirements for relevant accreditations.

Additionally we carry out regular equipment tests so we’re confident our machinery is operating efficiently to give you the best possible results. And we go to great lengths to ensure our people are also performing at their best. As a matter of course, several staff are involved in a sign-off procedure prior to client approval to reduce the chance of human error. Undertaking such stringent procedures isn’t just necessary, it’s vital to monitoring quality control. For our clients however, it’s simply reassuring.

quality beyond question

accreditations:

A company telling you how good they are is one thing. But having independent certification to prove it gives real clout to their comments. By consistently delivering the highest calibre of work, we have achieved accreditation that supports our belief in our products and services.

We hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and run to ISO 12647-2 colour standards, all of which acknowledge our impressive levels of knowledge, professionalism and ethical practice. We are also proud to be recognised as an Investor in People for our approach to bringing out the best in our staff.

These awards are regularly reviewed and in order to retain them a strict adherence to an approved way of working is required. This consists of a fully documented management quality control system, a measurement, analysis and improvement policy as well as Non Conformance reporting. These procedures are followed in some circumstances in many organisations, but it’s standard practice in ours.

principles are as important as profit

environment:

Green issues are close to our heart. That’s why we’ve put in place strict protocols relating to the environment and its safekeeping. Best practices have been adopted within the workplace and accreditation has been gained that supports our efforts.

Significantly, we have been awarded both FSC® and PEFC® certification so our paper sources are traceable to sustainable forests managed to benefit the local community. As a matter of course, we offer the option of 100% recycled paper. 80/20 and 50/50 blends are also acceptable alternatives. In tandem with this, we work with only vegetable based inks in an attempt to lower emissions during the print process.

Any waste that is generated is disposed of to approved standards. Similarly, the methods we employ also have a positive effect. To reduce printed waste (as well as unnecessary cost), a web-to-print system allows an exact quantity of literature to be produced as and when it’s needed. Sophisticated personalisation technology has also increased retention rates for direct mail items.

Throughout the organisation, our processes and systems have been moulded around our environmental concerns and the granting of ISO 14001 is testament to this. It’s proof that we are not just making promises but acting on our beliefs.
