RPS PRESSING FOR RHINOS THREE-PEAT!

A Leeds-based printers is once again putting its full support behind back-to-back champions Leeds Rhinos by sponsoring two of their star players.

Resource Print Solutions is backing Luke Burgess and Jamie Jones Buchanan as they bid for a three-peat of their 2007 and 2008 Super League successes. The 2009 season kicks off on the 6th February with a home fixture against newcomers Celtic Crusaders.

It's the third year that RPS, who already sponsor a host of community organisations and sports clubs across the region, has backed the Headingley-based club with an innovative deal that involves the players becoming part of their strategic marketing activity.

RPS Managing Director Phil Thompson explained: "Last year's agreement was a great success with Luke and Nick Scruton, now a Bradford player, meeting up with a number of our customers on a tour of Headingley as part of a competition prize and we plan to be similarly innovative with our link up in 2009 and we got behind Jamie Thackray in 2007.

"This year we are delighted to be sponsoring Jamie in what it is his testimonial year and we are hoping that the two stars can play a big part in retaining the Super League crown," added Phil.

Jamie Jones Buchanan, who had a testimonial match against Hull on the 26th January, commented: "The support of companies like RPS plays a key part of the Rhinos staying at the top of the game and we are grateful for their backing."
