Mar 10 - Bedroom secrets of our creatives.

Sorry, this isn't an expose of what the creative department gets up to after hours. This about the lengths we go to get an authentic looking photograph.

The idea was to create a typical 16 year old's bedroom for our client Dearne Valley College as a key image for their 2010/11 student admissions campaign.

But as we were starting with a completely empty room in a hall of residence, we first had to find stuff to fill it with. Then make sure that it looked like it had endured more than a few teenage tantrums.

So, we scoured second hand shops, diverted clothes that were destined for Oxfam and rescued sheets demoted to decorating covers from the garage.

Not only did we turn out to be pretty good room set designers (jumping on a bed soon makes a duvet look like it's been slept in for ages), we also doubled as photographer's assistants for the day.

In fact, we lugged so much equipment and held lighting booms in position for so long, that Gav, our designer, reckons he's found muscles he never knew he had.

You'll be able to see the results of our efforts when DVC's new prospectus hits the streets in August.
